A British made, hand-crafted escutcheon from Finesse Design, manufactured using only the finest, lead-free pewter.

An escutcheon is used as a keyhole cover; it is the plate fitted to cover the keyhole, to give a decorative finish.

Pewter is an ideal material for the home, with a distinctive warm and tactile feel and a natural finish which will not corrode. This makes it a robust, yet environmentally kind product that is totally recyclable.

Pewter is an ageless metal and has a warm and lustrous quality.  This is then hand-finished to give a unique patina.

This pewter door knob is not plated or lacquerd, so there is no coating to degrade. It is hard-wearing and easy to keep clean with a soft damp cloth.
