A solid brass euro cylinder available in either polished brass finish or plated in satin nickel.
Snap-safe euro cylinders are designed to prevent intruders from breaking in by snapping the cylinder. Unfortunately this is a now a very common way for burglars to break into houses.
This snap-safe cylinder has a sacrificial break-off section on the external side of the cylinder. This allows part of the cylinder to break off but leaves the rest of the cylinder in the door, preventing an intruder from gaining access to the working parts of the lock.
Please note; measurements are taken from the edge of the lock to the centre, with the external measurement shown first.
This is a standard shape euro cylinder and is therefore compatible with most multipoint locking systems and the complete range of euro-profile, lever-lock door handles and euro-profile mortice locks.
This Yale Anti-Snap cylinder has been tested to ensure that it meets the latest euro profile cylinder Standards. Designed to offer a new line of defence, the cylinder not only meets the British Standard Kitemark, but it has also successfully passed the Sold Secure SS312 Diamond Standard.
Comprising a snap-off front section of the cylinder, which will sacrificially come away if attacked, preventing an intruder from gaining access to the working parts of the lock. It also has hardened grip deflectors, which make gripping the rest of the cylinder very difficult after snapping.
This Yale cylinder also has a hardened reinforced bar which is designed not to snap, but to flex in a way that will defeat the vast majority of intruders.
