A hand-finished, wrought iron door knob mounted on a round rose, to suit rim furniture.
The “lock-side” knob is fixed to the spindle. The “door-side” knob is screwed onto the spindle and the rose screwed to the door.
A hand-finished, black antique malleable iron door knob from Kirkpatrick, manufactured in a traditional English ironfoundry.
Each period door knob is traditionally made here in the UK and finished by hand, with a two coat, protective finish.
Kirkpatrick’s long tradition of manufacturing means that they have a style and authenticity which is lacking in the cheap imitations which are available. Their workforce is skilled in the traditional methods of production, which have not changed in essence over the last 156 years. Although it is possible to find many similar products available both in the UK and worldwide, the essential difference is that their cast products are whiteheart malleable iron, which is particularly durable and well suited to the manufacture of architectural ironmongery.
Suitable for use with rim lock furniture (either latch or lock) this antique black iron knob set can be used as either an external or internal door knob.
Knob: 63 x 39mm
Rose Diameter: 60mm
