A hand-finished, cast brass letter flap from Kirkpatrick, manufactured in a traditional English ironfoundry.

These cast brass letter flaps are traditionally made here in the UK and finished by hand.

Kirkpatrick’s long tradition of manufacturing means that they have a style and authenticity which is lacking in the cheap imitations which are available. Their workforce is skilled in the traditional methods of production, which have not changed in essence over the last 156 years

When ordering, please check that you choose a size of letter flap which covers the retaining bolts of your letterplate. If buying a new letterplate, check the “Bolt Centre” measurements; your letter flap should be longer than this distance.

Please note, these are handcrafted, British made products which may be made up bespoke for your order.
Although we try to keep as much in stock as possible, we are currently experiencing delays at the forge with all cast iron items, resulting in longer lead times. As such, please allow approximately six weeks for manufacture and delivery.
