A beautifully crafted, British made, cast brass thumb latch (sometimes known as a Suffolk latch) from Kirkpatrick, manufactured in a traditional English ironfoundry.

These cast brass thumb latches are traditionally made here in the UK and finished by hand.

Kirkpatrick’s long tradition of manufacturing means that they have a style and authenticity which is lacking in the cheap imitations which are available. Their workforce is skilled in the traditional methods of production, which have not changed in essence over the last 156 years.

Although we try to keep as much in stock as possible, we are currently experiencing delays at the forge with all cast iron items, resulting in longer lead times. As such, please allow approximately six weeks for manufacture and delivery.
